Known Each other: 5 years

How we met: My sophomore year of college Kelsey joined SRU Illusions (Baton twirling team). I actually didnt really like Kelsey to start with. Someone brain washed me to think she was a captain STEALER! haha long story but its crazy how things can change.

Favorite memory: We have a lot of great memories together. We had the joys of spending countless hours of twirling together. We also enjoyed going out together and traveling to the beach together. We have so many great memories and it sucks that she is hours away!

Name: Kaylee

Been friends for: about 7 years

How we met: We have gone to school together since 7th grade, but it wasnt till high school when we became good friends. We both had the pleasure of working at Little Caesars..haha.

Favorite memory: We have had so many memories together. Working at LC together, trips to Pittsburgh, beating everyone in kemps, band trips, watching every lifetime movie made, and simply being bums :)

Meet my Bridemaids: Part 3

Name: Dawn

How long we've known each other: almost 11 years!

How we met: Well... we met in 7th grade! We were both majorettes. However we did not become friends until 9th grade. My sis and I didnt like Dawn because we thought she was stuck up and a show off. But we got invited to her bday party. We decided to go because a huge storm hit and i felt bad that people may not show up. Welp.. it ended up from that night on ...we were inseparable. :) Shes my wifey!

Favorite Memory: We have SOOO many! But my favorite memory would be our senior trip to Mexico! My parents took us to Mexico for our senior trip :) We had so much fun! Laying on the sand, drinking for the 1st time (in a hot tub---bad idea), making great friends with the staff, and pretty much being known all across the resort as the "crazy PA girls"..We need to plan a trip back ASAP!

Known Each Other: 22 years

How we met: We met by our parents being sisters. But we are friends because we chose to be.

Favorite Memory: I can't even pick one favorite memory. I seriously have a list a mile long. Some of my favorite childhood memories are making a band, playing storm chasers, camping out in the backyard, playing "house" and "college". We cant forget out tween years.. going to the mall and firehall dances. Growing up wouldnt have been the same without a cousin like Sarah!

Years we have know each other: 24 years + 6 months in the womb :)

How we met: in the womb

Favorite memory: I have soo many favorite memories! We are the best of friends. We did EVERYTHING together. We would spend hours playing together. It was great growing up with someone just like me! We could never say we were bored..because we always had each other. Then we went to college together. Here we had A LOT of great memories. Some a little more vague than others ;). We now live 20 minutes a part in our own homes.. and its too far! But we make sure to get together a few times a week :)

3 years of letting my hair grow

Way long ago.... July 25, 2009 i decided i was going to let my hair grow! When i decided this i actually thought i would never pull through with it. I wanted to let it grow for the wedding. I was almost certain i would keep getting it cut and would have to get extensions.... but guess what the 3 years of growing my hair and the time is ALMOST UP!! YAY!! You would think it would be to my butt after this long..but my hair grows soo slow! Ugh. But here are some pictures of the progress:

Candy Table

Luke and I decided that we were going to do a candy table at the reception. Not as our favors.. just snacks to munch on waiting for us to get there. When I decided to do the candy table I had no idea how expensive candy by the color was! I'm trying to figure out what candy we are going to choose and it's expensive! I don't want to buy too much because it will just go to waste. I always want to pick candy that people will actually eat! This picture is my inspiration:

Frustrated

I am beyond stoked that Beeb and I will be getting married in ALMOST 4 months.. but im frustrated..not with wedding plans..with life..with work.

I am mostly irritated with work. Don't get me wrong i LOVE teaching..but i want my own class and my own room. Subbing has given me a lot of experience and insight to many different classrooms..but im ready. I feel like i was teased. I had my own class for 13 weeks then poof it was gone and i was back to subbing. The frustrating part is i honestly do not see any light at the end of the tunnel. What am i going to do? i cant so this foe 3,4,5, years (like some of the subs) and i cant afford to make this crappy money much longer either. I. need. a. job. or i may go insane.

I ALSO need a job for this summer. UGH! Who is going to hire me and allow me to have off right smack dab in the middle of summer for 2 weeks? I dont want to work nights and weekends...then i truly wont see luke till THE DAY!.... im going insane.

Flower Girl Dress...HELP!!

I need help choosing a flower girl dress. My adorable flower girl will be 3 months shy of 3 years year old the day of our wedding. So we are crossing our fingers that it will work out! Shes is shy around people yet can be a diva! I am down to two dresses for two different reasons.


Dress One: Is a dress from JCP. I believe its a communion dress. But this is the selling point.. its $25. We all know that shortly after walking down the aisle.... this dress will be rolling around on the floor. I also know that after the big day..she wont wear it again..... i dont LOVE the dress..buts its pretty and it will do. This girl is adorable and will look so in anything.

Dress Two: This dress is so cute! The flowers on the strap match the bridesmaids dresses. The fabric is the same as my dress and the girls' dresses too. The down fall this dress is $109. I hate to have her mom ditch out this much money on top of her own dress.

There will be a few slight changes..but it will be very similar to this. I wanted something simple with a touch of beach. Cake to me is a waste but it's a must have.. so no need to go over board.

Guilty Pleasure TV Shows

I have a few (ok maybe 4) guilty pleasure TV shows. These are shows that i cant go a week without seeing...yet maybe i should. These are shows that Luke makes fun of me for watching. But i love them!

1) One Tree Hill: This show I have been watching since 2006! I do admit i did not watch it on TV when it first came out because i had my loyalty to The O.C (guilty pleasure #5 if it were still on tv) But OTH i started watching my freshman yr of college with my roomies. We had a few seasons to catch up on.. and we would spend hours..i mean HOURS glued to the tv watching! There was a time that i SKIPPED class and gave up 10 Bonus points for perfect attendance to keep on watching with my roomies. My roomies and i continued to watch it together through the rest of college. Although the show has changed a lot over the years.. i cant help but watch EVERY Wednesday night :) side note: i just might have a Scott's Auto Body Hoodie like the one Lucas wore in seasons 1,2,3!

2) The Bachelorette /Bachelor: This show i have watched off and on since the first one so many years ago! I honestly dont know why i love this show so much. Out of ALL of them i thing maybe 3 couples are still together. Its also so unrealistic...but im hooked. And let me tell you..someone spoiled this season for me and i am NOT happy about the outcome!

3) Pretty Little Liars: I just started watching this show at the beginning of this season. I am hooked to this show because each week your more confused than the week before, yet thats a reason i hate this show. I cant believe im sucked into high school drama!

4) The lying game: I got into this show randomly because i saw the previews from watching PLL. I think i got sucked into this because it is about twins and well i am a twin! Often times my mouth drops at the end of every episode.

I seriously have no time for other TV shows because i am sucked into these ones! But someday maybe ill grow up and watch more adult TV..but for now i am okay with my guilty pleasure shows!

Sand Ceremony Kit

Since our wedding is "Beachy Theme" We decided to go with a sand ceremony kit instead of the unity candle. I wanted something that we could use in our house as decoration afterwards. When i came across this set i knew it was PERFECT! Tonight i finally ordered it (well my mama did ). I am so excited for it and i cant wait to see it when it gets here! Now we just have to find some bright blue and lime green sand!

Bridesmaid Dresses

I can't believe that our wedding day is LESS than 5 months away. It seems like yesterday that i started the two year countdown!


Our wedding theme is beachy. && Our colors are bright blue and lime green :)

I have my dress (which i am not posting--because its a surprise for luke)

We picked out the bridesmaid dresses: It took me a while to find the perfect dress. I really wanted my girls to be comfy and feel confident in their dresses. Having girls that range in all different height and sizes --makes that tough. After searching for what seemed like forever i am 100% confident that we chose the best dress. Its light and flowy and has a small touch of beach. The dress is from Alfred Angelo. Its chiffon (which to me is 100% more comfy than satin) and its one strapped with flowers on the strap! Perfect for a summer wedding :) The color we chose is Alfred's new color Blue Box (its not as bright as i originally wanted .. but it will work!

Life Update

Every Post starts this way because I do have all the intentions to actually keep up with it.

Work: I can't believe I did not blog during my long term teaching position. But anyways.. it was great and i LEARNED a lot! So much more than i learned in 4 years of school..seriously. Experience is the best teacher. I had a great class and we bonded really well. I was sad to go and i think they were sad to see me go as well. I am officially back to day to day subbing..which i did not miss at all! But you got to do what you got to do!

House: Luke and I finally got around to fixing up the first floor bathroom. He laid new tile floor :) We also topped it off with a new sink/vanity and mirror. We did paint, however it is very close to the same color! It looks really nice :) -- Next project (after the wedding) will be the upstairs bathroom.

Wedding: Wedding stuff is finally coming together! I am starting to get excited :)!! We have some projects to start soon. Pics to come soon.

Puppy: Luke and I now have a puppy. Her name is Missy. She was my moms, but now she is with us! She is soo clingy but a cuddle bug! And she sheds A LOT!!
