It all started in the tiny womb of my mama. There
wasn't much room,
that's because i had to share with another baby. Yes a baby that was stealing all of MY room and MY food. She would
probably insist that I was stealing all of her room and food. Maybe i was, she was the first born. Janelle and i were 3months premature. She entered the world weighing around 3lb and i entered the world (backwards) weighing a whole 2lb 8oz. (i told you she ate all of the food).
Unfortunately i was not breathing.. or "dead" i like to say. Janelle, the older mean sister she is, always says that she enjoyed being an only child for one minute. Yup right up until the minute the doctors brought me back to life. We spent days in the hospital named Twin A and Twin B. Mother would not name one if us without naming the other. But we even spent more time in the hospital being sick. But eventually we both ventured home to our tiny closet like bedroom.
Growing up a twin has been a blessing and i honestly could not imagine not being one. We
constantly had
each other to play with. Well... she constantly told me what to play, how to play it, and when and where to move, speak, and talk....but honestly once again i
didn't know any better and heck most of the time i
didn't mind. Until the age of about 7.... i just thought i had a constant play buddy. But eventually i would realize it is truly much more than that.
As we started getting older, we would do everything together...
inseparable id say. We went to school together (different classes except 5
th grade). Played basketball together, did
cheer leading together, played softball together, twirled baton together, had the same friends, did the same activities, and enjoyed each others company. (most of the time).
Once we got to high school.. not much changed. We still participated in the same activities and even had some classes together. I would hang out with her and her bf and she would hang out with me and my bf. ( i mean i only thought it was normal.. until later i realized i guess i could of given them some alone time). Then it was time for college. We decided on
SRU together. If i
didn't have my sister, i probably
wouldn't have gone away to college... and i am def glad i did. Once we got to college,
janelle knew she wanted to be a teacher and i was unsure. I changed my mind a few times and finally decided on.... you guessed it.. a teacher. To this day we still enjoy and do the a lot of the same activities and i
wouldn't want it any other way.
The benefits of being a twin is
indescribable. A constant BEST friend, someone i know i can always depend on, someone to share my ups and downs with. Someone to party, play, and relax with. Someone who can understand me when i talk
reallllyyy fast. Someone who i trust 100%. Someone that i know no matter what will always have my back and kick
any ones ass that says or does a mean thing to me. Someone who knows
im hurt or sad when i lie about it. Someone who knows every single one of my inside jokes.
Life without my sister would be scary and although we have our ups and downs we will always be sisters and i
couldn't imagine her not being my neighbor. I
can see us raising our kids together and going on vacations together! If she would ever move away, a huge part of me would be missing.
My one issue (well 2) When people think we are the SAME person. No we are not the SAME person. A matter of fact we are very different. Number two when people refer to us as "the twins" I mean i know we are the BEST twins you know.... but we do have names... do i refer to anyone as the "only child" or "the middle child" Nope i dont think so.
Love you jay, your the best :)"A sister shares childhood memories and grown-up dreams."

At a later date ill post pictures of us throughout the years :)
