GRADUATION and AftEr PaRtY!

Welp its here, and it has past! I officially (not really) graduated from College. Let's just say i will never attend a class again at SRU.... I'm not sure how i feel about that. Bittersweet. Anyways it was one crazy hectic day. It started with my sleeping in (i had no choice, had to be a good time later that night...more to come later) So i got all dolled up, trying to look nice, but apparently in Slippery Rock, it would only make sense to be beautiful out Friday and Sunday.. but not Saturday.. it was rainy and windy.. when i say windy i mean wind tunnel hair blowing dress up in the air windy. On my way to graduation i managed to lose my camera and tassel.. im pretty sure these are 2 VERY important things on graduation day. (Found camera in friends car... after the ceremony.. a little late i know). I ran around like a crazy person trying to find my tassel... no luck. But thank goodness this lady running the thing had a few extra.. woohoo close call. So we sat through graduation and it was okay. a few laughs here and there. After graduation it was picture time with the fam and then dinner to celebrate: (sorry they are blurry i had to steal these from FB bc obviously i lost my camera).

After dinner i got some pretty awesome gifts (Vera Bradly set of binders, notepads, highlighters, mini notepads, pens, and more...sweet for my desk) A sweet Coach purse from babes, he did a great job picking it out, then a matching ribbon from Erin (Lukes Bros gf) and a matching clutch from alex (lukes bro). and of course money and gas cards! haha

After dinner we said goodbye to everyone then headed to my apt to get ready for Pittsburgh! This was my friend Dawn's first time out in Pitt! We got all cute and headed to Alex's apartment to pregame! The first place we went was barroom/saddleridge in station square. We had some shots shots shots to celebrate and danced, but it was kind of expensive there.. okay a lot of expensive.. so we headed to Buckheads (our normal go to place) and finished the night up there! It was a fun night and a great way to end the year! here are some pics:

That was my graduation day. This week i am crazy busy unpacking, yet packing for NC. Im wondering where and how i got so much shit! It literally wont fit in my house, and with sis and i sharing a room at home, we cant even move in there. So after a long hard summer semester of student teaching im going to have fun coming home and reorganizing my life... haha. welp lots to do and only 3 days left in PA.

College is OVER!

Ahhh first off i am donzooo with STAT! i think i am more excited about that then being done with my college career! haha. These past few days have been crazy hectic! But through it all i have managed to go out a few times :) I mean it was finals week... but i wasn't dead. Wednesday the girls and i went to a local Mexican restaurant to celebrate Cinco De Mayo. Jay and i met up with some other friends at ghill after.

Then Thursday Luke came up after work. It was so nice to see him after studying all day :[ We hung out and watched the pens (they lost...this makes babes a sad little boy). We then headed to my friends apartment and then to the bar. I didn't get to have a drink because of my final in the morning ....:( I really wanted to have one last really good night out... but noooo. It's okay we are going to Pittsburgh to celebrate sat night!

TOMORROW is graduation. It doesn't feel real. I don't think it will till after student teaching. A bunch of the fam is coming up and then we are doing dinner before pitt later that night.

1 week till NC... life is moving to0 fast.. slow down please :)

Weekend Recap :-]

Before we get to the weekend.. we have to talk about Monday night! Monday night was my bff 21st birthday! We went to Texas Road House for $.99 margaritas! They were soo delicious! We then headed to the local bar [Ghill] :) It was so much fun! It was monday night trivia and our team sucked! The questions were so hard! haha. Here are some pics:

This weekend was suppose to be dedicated to celebrating Kels 21st, unfortunately her dad had to have unexpected heart surgery. So she had to go home to be with him. (so far he is doing well).

Friday: I went shopping at the outlets in search of a graduation dress. I found one! I found it at Charlotte Russe. Here is a pic:

Friday night Jay, Luke, and I went to coney island for dinner and to watch the Pens game :] i love when they win because that makes babes a happy camper :)

Saturday: Luke, Jay, and our friend Alex decided to go shopping at Ross Park Mall. Its a very nice mall right outside of Pittsburgh. I bought dress capris and a dress shirt. Jay got a graduation dress! We spent hours walking around and shopping. Luke and i took a peak in Tiffany's. "I'll take one of everything please". Someday ill be able to afford to shop at this kind of mall :) haha. Then luke and i went to dinner at Applebees! Yumm!

Sunday: We relaxed and tried to burn P90x for myself.. but Luke and i could not figure out how to do that.. so not starting P90X.. yet. But i did go to the gym today! Luke headed off to Pitt to watch the pens game on the big screen outside and i canned for relay for life. Then i headed to work and completed A LOT of homework! yay. Sunday night is Arm Wives.. love this show!

Wanted: Graduation Dress

I am in desperate need of a graduation dress! I have no appropriate dresses.. haha! I have the hardest time finding dresses that i actually like on me. They are super cute on tall skinny models... but not me. I have 4 weeks to find a cute dress on a budget. Thank god i have the outlets near by, but recently they have been letting me down. So i figure when all else fails i can ALWAYS find something at Kohls.. but i looked there last week and nothing jumped out...GRR. Kohls how can you fail me. So i did some online searching... id never buy online because 99% of the time i don't like it.. but here are some that i like (although not liking the price tag on a few):

Valentines Day Weekend!

This weekend was GREAT :) Friday i worked for a few hours and worked on some hw (blah). Once Luke arrived here I made us (and my friend Danielle) tacos! I accidentally burn the taco shells because i forgot that they were in the oven. opps. So Luke had to run to the store and pick some more up.. but the second round of taco shells were delicious. Luke and I then laid around relaxed and watched the opening ceremony of the Olympics!

Saturday morning i woke up to find Lukas making breakfast. He made chocolate chip pancakes and bacon (AWESOME!) i did promise that i wouldn't tell anyone he burnt the first 2 pancakes ;) but the rest were delicious! I had to snap a picture of him in action:


Then the illusions (my dance/ twirl team) performed at the SRU basketball game. We did a pretty good job for how many people were missing. After the game Luke and I decided to go out to eat for our early v-day lunch :) We went to Rachel's Roadhouse. Luke and I usually have a great meal here, however Luke did not luck out with his meal. (i felt bad) Then we came home and spent time together and ate some ICE CREAM! (yumm). Luke bought me a beautiful heart necklace....even though we said we werent doing gifts!!! lol

Sunday my parents came to visit my sis and I at school since i have not seen them since christmas break. Once they arrived we of course headed straight to the outlets :) (oh the poor boys, they should know by now) My mama treated me well:) I got a jacket at AE (on sale $20 originally like $120) a flannel shirt (luke got one too). I also purchased some things at Arie. I also got a red Tommy zip up (on sale $13). Camis from Aero and a black short sleeve sweater from Gap! So i am def thinking the outlets were a total success! We then headed to Texas Road house for a yummy dinner!

Also today, mine and lukes engagement announcement/ picture was in the paper! How perfect, on Valentines Day!

What a great weekend :) Spending it with the people i love!

Half a Snow Day

The snow has been redic this past week. But the one good thing about bad weather is canceled classes. My night class was canceled last night by the professor. (SWEET) then my practice was also canceled. So i had a relaxing evening. More snow rolled in over night, but no SRU doesn't cancel classes. So i cleaned off my car and headed to class. I then found out all classes after 3 pm are canceled! (score no night class again tonight). Therefore my rommies and I decided to partake in some drinks, a dance party, and playing in the snow. It was so much fun! After playing outside for a while, we came in and ordered some pizza :) I really needed a relaxing evening. ( i only have to look over some notes for my quiz tomorrow). A Successful Weekend!

I had a great much needed weekend :) Luke arrived and i had dinner ready on the table :) Aren't i the BEST fiance EVER. Out of everything in the world, he wanted hot open face turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and corn... so that's what i made! And if i had to say so myself it was mighty delicious :)

After dinner Luke and I decided to stay in and watch a movie. We watched the Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It was a good movie. I do not think i would watch it again.. but i would give it a B+. Luke half fixed my computer and i am still waiting for Microsoft to call me back about the other part.. so we shall see.

Saturday night Luke, Jay, Jaime, and her friends headed out to Pittsburgh for a night of fun for Jaime's Birthday :) We went to the Hofbraughaus then to a few bars in Oakland. It was a great time!

Here starts another long week of classes and a lot of homework and studying. My parents landed safely today in the Dominican Republic where they will be enjoying the warm air and drinks... im jealous.

*New Years Eve*

Better late then never right? New Years Eve is always a pain in the butt, but always ends up being a fun night. This year was no exception. Luke, his brother, my roomie, sista, and a few other friends decided on Pittsburgh (station square). We went here the previous year it was so much fun! Lukes bro is a barback/bouncer at buckhead saloon in station square so we decided to go there. We really enjoy this place because it fits both mine and Luke's personality. It has the bar/saloon feeling and the club/dancing scene. There is a band for about an hour or two then a DJ for an hour or two. You get the band and the DJ all in one :)

Finding a Taxi in Pittsburgh is hard as it is, let alone trying to find one on one of the most popular nights to go out. After several calls to the taxi place we decided we were going to walk to a bus stop and take the bus. Luckily while standing at the bus stop a taxi drove by and we got a ride.

Once we got to the bar the time FLEW by. I somewhat remember dancing, watching the ball drop, and having a few drinks ;). All in all it was a great fun night with friends <3

Halloween 09

Halloween 09 was a blast. Janelle and I ventured down to WVU for the fun filled nights. We have been doing this 3 years now :) The first night was fun. We went to taebo. there was not a wait and it wasnt that busy. Janelle was a Devil. I was an Angel. Dawn was a Asian girl? i think. Cass was a leopard and Karen was a Sailor.


After friday night, we had much recovering to do! But that did not stop us for getting dressed up again and going out AGAIN! Saturday was alright. We had to wait in line for 2.5 hours to get in the club. I knew we were going to have to wait bc they always "hold" the line so it looks busy and the place to be. But after standing in line and fighting with people for cutting (GO DAWN). i was kinda not into dancing and what not after FINALLY getting into the club. The second night I was a pirate, Janelle a cop, Dawn an Indian, Cass a Gold digger, and Karen a Sailor.


It was a great time and i wouldnt want to spend it with any other people! Maybe next year lukas and i will be able to dress up and match! how cute ;) haha

Cedar Point Recap

Okay so here i am, i did survive my LAST ever fundraiser trip to CP! I am just now catching up on my sleep! The trip was fun getting to know the new girls and hanging. We were in a haunted house that was suppose to be a mansion. All of our girls were dressed as maids and the fraternity we were paired with were dressed at ghosts. It did not rain or snow while we were there, although it was cold the house was warm!

We checked into Auschwitz after our first say of work. We were all so tired that most of us passed out after getting situated. I always bring my sleeping bag so i can curl up in it and not have to touch a thing. Too bad my sleeping bag did not block out the smell pee. I think this was the cat litter box wing. That's what is smelled like YUCK! There were 4 people in each room.

Although it was a tiring weekend it did not go as bad as i thought. I guess i need to start being more optimistic. On Saturday we did not have to be at work till 330 so most of the girls decided to hit up TGIF for a good meal before work. It was nice going out to eat and talking! Although the weekend is over i do not think i will miss it... at all :)
